Emily Blunt about working with Tom and Colin

Actress Emily Blunt has been interviewed by USA TODAY because of being nominated for awards in two categories at the Golden Globes. She was in “The Devil Wears Prada” and in the “The Great Buck Howard” and she recently played alongside Tom Hanks in “Charlie Wilson’s War”. Read what she says about working with Tom and Colin:

Q: Who is your love interest in Charlie Wilson’s War?
A: I’m playing a rather predatory, promiscuous congressman’s daughter who has a thing with Mr. Hanks.

Q: As in Tom Hanks?
A: Yes, but what’s funny is I just did a film with his son, Colin, called The Great Buck Howard, so I’m working my way through the Hanks family. I was laughing with (Tom’s wife) Rita (Wilson) that she might be next.

“Alone With Her” Reviews

The movie with Colin and Ana Claudia opens theatrically very soon (limited release on January 17th, 2007) and different reviews have been published online:

Villagevoice.com:
Hanks plays Doug as a pasty-faced John Hinckley type. Talancón, who is on-screen for most of the movie’s 78 minutes, is effectively natural in her exhibitionism, a version of the victim role she played opposite Gael García Bernal in “The Crime of Father Amaro”. But Doug doesn’t play fair and neither does the filmmaker.

CanMag.com:
Will have you in its grasp from the first frame until the last.

Movieweb.com:
Doug (Colin Hanks, who has already passed his father in terms of interesting roles), is a stalker who almost seems like he can’t exist without his camera. Once he sets his sights on Amy (Ana Claudia Talancon) things progress with him watching her, getting her routine down, and then controlling the situation enough so that he can meet her.

Horrorview.com:
While I felt truly invested in Amy’s plight, I also felt a great deal of sadness for the emotionally isolated Doug, as the talented Hanks is just such a likeable actor that, even though he’s playing a monster, you almost want things to go right for him somehow. That is, of course, if he were up against a less likeable actress.

Meg talks with the Insider Online

Cojo of the Insider Online recently met Meg Ryan and talked about her new movie “Homeland Security”. Meg mentions Colin:

In this new movie, out in 2007, Colin plays Meg’s son, an FBI agent, who gets the uncomfortable job of spying on his mother when she takes up with Antonio Banderas. Antonio is a lothario who is suspected of being an international art thief, which drives Colin crazy!

“I have this strange kind of maternal thing towards Colin and I like it, whatever it is,” she says of their relationship.
